Report. Shoot. To edit. Work on-air and behind the camera.
Whether your goal is to work on local or network news, as a radio reporter, for an online publication, or as a freelance journalist in an international setting, the J-School faculty will provide you with the production skills and standards for great reporting and storytelling for the eye and the ear.
Journalism School students have many opportunities to learn the skills necessary to excel in broadcast journalism and tell stories in video or audio. Both video and audio courses are core components of the M.S. Program in which students work on deadlines as well as longer stories. Students can learn on-air skills, take a radio or podcasting class, experiment with virtual reality, and refine the techniques essential to working in a digital newsroom.
MRS. Candidates can also apply for the third semester documentary program designed to train students in the art of documentary film.
