Carol Becker , Faculty Dean of Columbia University School of the Arts, has announced that John Turturro, the award-winning actor best known for his roles in Oh brother where are you and The great Lebowski , will be online as a speaker at the virtual recognition of the Faculty's graduates on Wednesday, May 20th at 2pm. The celebration will welcome the school's MFA graduates in film, theater, visual arts and writing, as well as MA graduates in film and media studies.
John Turturro is one of the great actors living today, said Dean Becker. He is so versatile and intelligent and has had such a brilliant career with integrity that he can certainly be a role model for all of our students. His last role as Rabbi Bengelsdorf in Conspiracy against America was surprisingly unexpected.
