This Microsoft Office installer is designed specifically for Columbia's own desktop and laptop computers. If you want to install Microsoft Office on your PC, check your permissions on the Software Downloads page.
Permission to download Microsoft Office on Columbia-owned devices is general limited to university officials, support staff, faculty, and certain graduate / professional students at CUIMC and CBS .
If you do not have authorization, you will not be able to download the installer and you will be directed to a page with additional information. You can find more information on our Microsoft Campus Agreement information page.

Please make sure that your computer meets the necessary installation requirements:
- Office 2016 for macOS: macOS 10.12 only, we recommend that you update your computer to a newer version of macOS to support Office 2019
- Office 2019 for macOS
Download, install, and activate Microsoft Office for Macs
Note: You must have administrative access to your computer to install Office and the serializer.

1 Download the serializer (required UNI registration)
Office 2019 for macOS (4.7 MB)
two Double click the ISO file
Choose to save when prompted.
3 Run the serializer
There are three items in the ISO file. Double-click Microsoft_Office_2019_VL_Serializer (.pkg file) to run the serializer.
After the serializer runs, you will be asked if the file can be moved to the Recycle Bin. click OK .
Note: To activate your Office download, you must have a secure campus network connection or be connected outside of campus via VPN.
4 Download Microsoft Office 2019
Download the entire Office suite by clicking this link (may take a few minutes).

5 Follow the instructions in the Office installation wizard
Double-click the file that was just downloaded to run the Office installer. The file name is Microsoft_Office_16.20011301_Installer.pkg or similar (Microsoft may change the name slightly).
When the installation is complete, you will be asked if the file can be moved to the trash. click OK .

1 Download the installation program (UNI login required)

3 Open the ISO file
When the download is complete, open the ISO file to find three items. First open the ReadMe.txt File to read the instructions, then open the two .pkg files as seen below.
