In the middle of nowhere is a deep dive into the ridiculously complicated life of Lisa Giordano-Navarro: middle age, middle divorce, 'middle career' (yes, unemployed). Lisa starts over at fifty, but her larger-than-life family feels like this middle kid is stuck. It's Christmas. Lisa comes from NYC to drive her elderly parents from Vegas to Venice, CA, for the big family reunion with her brothers (and her others). But unpacking their memories - and their hidden truths - creates surprises for everyone. With the intimate honesty of Better Things, the insightful time shifts of This is Us, and the generational clashes of All in the Family, Middle of Nowhere explores the universally comical tragedy we call the Middle Ages.

Michele Palermo is a published and award-winning playwright and screenwriter. She has created countless television pilots and worked with industry giants David E. Kelley and Peter Horton. Warner) and a year researching tomatoes and compost for the incomparable Martha Stewart. Palermo is currently working on its pilot Blind faith , a historical fiction.
